2005: The Year In Review

On this last day of the year, let’s look back, and examine the positive and the negative: In the plus column:

• Took some awesome trips
• Lost a great deal of weight
• Made some wonderful new friends
• Re-connected with some dear old friends
• Got a crankin’ tattoo
• Actually began making music again

While that’s a pretty good list, it is outweighed by the minuses:

• I hurt a good person terribly, and she did nothing to deserve it.
• Thusly (and, deservedly, I might add), I am living in a world of Karmic retribution.

And, so, tonight just before midnight, I’ll be spitting at 2005 as it departs, happy to see it go. Let’s hope that 2006 has as many peaks as 2005 had valleys…
